Utley Clears Waivers, Now Trade Eligible Throughout MLB

According to multiple reports, Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley went through the waiver process without being claimed by an team prior to the deadline on Tuesday. This means he can be traded to any team – pending his approval. But it also means that teams are disinterested in paying his salary due the rest of the season and/or a potential buyout at the end of the season.
