Union Falls to Toronto FC, 3-1

Toronto, Ontario – The Philadelphia Union lost 3-1 to Toronto FC on Saturday night at BMO Field in front of 18,332. After falling behind 2-0, Steven Vitoria pushed the Union back into the game by heading home a free kick from Cristian Maidana in the 66th minute. The goal was Vitoria’s first for the Union and came in his hometown, Toronto. The assist for Maidana was his 15th, which leaves him one behind Sebastian Giovinco for the MLS lead. Giovinco and Jozy Altidore scored goals for Toronto. The Union won’t play again until Sept. 18 against New York Red Bulls.
