Union Blanks Seattle, 1-0

Chester, Pa. – After a first half in which the Union saw a goal disallowed and a penalty kick missed, C.J. Sapong scored in the 69th minute to earn the Union a 1-0 victory against the Seattle Sounders. With the goal, Sapong tied the Union record by scoring a goal in four consecutive games. The Sounders have never defeated the Union in PPL Park in MLS play and with the victory, the Union have a record of 5-10-3 this season. The Union now move to seventh place in the Eastern Conference and return to action this Saturday, June 27, to face the Montreal Impact at 7 p.m. in PPL Park.
