St. Joe’s Wins A-10 Tourney, Claims No. 7 Seed in NCAA Bracket

PHILADELPHIA – The 10th-seeded Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball team will face seventh-seeded Connecticut this Thursday, March 20, in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.  Game time is 6:55 p.m. with the telecast on TBS.

With a thrilling 65-61 victory over VCU in the Atlantic 10 Championship game Sunday afternoon, the Hawks earned the conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid and the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2008. It marks SJU’s third straight postseason berth.

Playing in the East bracket, should Saint Joseph’s win on Thursday, it would face the winner of second seeded Villanova vs.15th-seeded Milwaukee on Saturday, March 22.
