Philly Sports Jabronis
San Diego tried to make things interesting late Sunday afternoon but eventually ran out of gas in their attempt to avoid a sweep by the visiting Philadelphia Phillies. The Phils improved their already Major League-best record since the All Star break with a 5-3 win. Cesar Hernandez, Odubel Herrera and Freddy Galvis all contributed two hits and a run as the Phillies pounded out 11 hits total in support of Jerome Williams, who earned his fourth win of the season.
