NY Red Bulls Drop Union, 4-1

Report From Philadelphia Union

Harrison, N.J. (Oct. 18, 2015) – The Philadelphia Union fell to the New York Red Bulls Sunday in Red Bull Area. The Red Bulls gained an early lead, with Mike Grella finding the back of net after seven seconds of play. The Red Bulls capitalized again three minutes later when Bradley Wright Phillips scored from a corner kick. Grella scored his second goal of the game in the 17th minute and Kemar Lawrence scored his first MLS goal in the 44th minute for the Red Bulls.

After conceding four goals in the first half, Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin brought Ethan White and Fernando Aristeguieta on for Steven Vitoria and Cristián Maidana at half time. The Union played a stronger second half and found the back of the net through Sebastien Le Toux in the 55th minute. Tranquillo Barnetta´s long pass connected with Le Toux on the right hand side of the field. Le Toux made no mistake in sending the ball into the back of the net and scoring his seventh goal of the season for the Union.

The Union return to action on Sunday, Oct. 25 to face Orlando City for their last match of the 2015 season. Sunday´s game will kick-off at 5 p.m. and will be televised on The Comcast Network.
