Late Goal Lifts Leafs Over Flyers, 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers were 7.5 seconds away from playing another overtime period Tuesday night when Matt Hunwick’s deflected slap shot from the right point slipped past goalie Steve Mason to give the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs a 3-2 win. Matt Read and Shayne Gostisbehere both scored goals for Philadelphia. Mason had 32 saves on 35 shots. Former Flyer Joffrey Lupul netted his 10th goal of the season as well.
