Howard Hits Another Historic Homer, Velasquez Shines in Debut, Phillies Get 1st Win of 2016

Vince Velasquez, one of seven players involved in the trade of relief pitcher Ken Giles, turned in a rather flawless debut with the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday afternoon in what would become a 1-0 win – the first for the Phillies in 2016. The 23-year-0ld threw six shutout innings, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out nine.
