With each passing day since the firing of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, more reports are finally being made public that reveal the unsettling relationship between Kelly and owner Jeffrey Lurie. According to a recent report, Lurie had been becoming increasingly uncomfortable with how Kelly conducted himself as an employee. In particular, Kelly’s initial refusal to attend Lurie’s holiday party (it would ultimately be rescheduled) because of concerns it would interrupt his preparation for the week’s football game supposedly carried a lot of negative weight.
