Flyers Maintain Wild Card Spot by Beating Jets in OT, 3-2

The Philadelphia Flyers (37-25-13) continue to hold the Eastern Conference’s second wild card spot after a 3-2, overtime win against the visiting Winnipeg Jets (31-38-7) on Monday night. The Detroit Red Wings also won, but the Flyers have a game in hand. Claude Giroux netted the game-winner with 14 seconds to play in the extra frame Monday off an assist by Shayne Gostisbehere. Mark Streit and Wayne Simmonds scored goals in the second period to give Philly what was once a 2-0 lead. Steve Mason got the win in net with 28 saves. For more on this game, click here.
