Simmonds Leads Rally Past Blues, Flyers Win 4-3

A 3-0 deficit didn’t deter the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night. Four unanswered goals (including two from Wayne Simmonds) against the visiting St. Louis Blues lifted Philly to a 4-3 win at the Wells Fargo Center. Chris VandeVelde’s shorthanded goal at 10:03 of the second period got Philly on the board before Simmonds added two consecutive scores (at 12:13 of the second and :51 in the third) to tie the game. Evgeny Medvedev’s tally at 16:47 of the third off feeds from Ryan White and VandeVelde served as the game-winner. Steve Mason stopped 26 of 29 shots overall. For more on this game, click here.
