Philadelphia, Pa. – Philadelphia Union lost to Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 3-0 on Saturday in front of 20,183 fans at BC Place. First-half goals from Pedro Morales and Octavio Rivero paced the Whitecaps. Darren Mattocks added the club’s third. For the Union, Brian Sylvestre made seven saves in his first career MLS start. That was a season-high for a Union goalkeeper this season and tied for the fifth-most by an MLS goalkeeper.
