Lions Roast Birds 45-14 on Thanksgiving Day

The Philadelphia Eagles and coach Chip Kelly did not rebound well to their embarrassing loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs earlier this week when they visited Detroit for the first of three NFL games on Thanksgiving. With Mark Sanchez under center for the second consecutive game the offense (especially the run game) played at a near standstill during a 45-14 loss. A game that stood at 7-7 after Brent Celek caught a short touchdown pass to start the second quarter quickly unraveled as the Lions would post 38 unanswered points before Sanchez connected with Jordan Matthews for a 24-yard score.
