Late Comeback Attempt Falls Short for Flyers in Arizona

Sean Couturier’s power play goal at 19:20 of the third period was not enough to rally the Philadelphia Flyers (36-25-13) past the host Arizona Coyotes (34-34-7) during a 2-1 loss Saturday night. Despite the defeat, Philly still holds on to the second wild card spot due to having a game in hand over the Detroit Red Wings, who fell to Pittsburgh on Saturday, 7-2. Goalie Steve Mason had 15 saves on 17 shots in the losing effort. For more on this game, click here.
