Shady Goes No. 4 Overall in Pro Bowl Draft, Foles Next to Last

The NFL’s version of fantasy football concluded Wednesday night with Day 2 of the 2014 Pro Bowl draft, a new experiment the league is trying to generate more fan interest in the game and the event as a whole.

LeSean McCoy went No. 4 overall and was the first running back taken off the board. He’ll play for Team Rice as in Jerry Rice, who selected a team to go against a group selected by Deion Sanders. Shady will be paired with guard Evan Mathis, who was also taken on the draft’s first day.

Team Sanders selected the two remaining Eagles Pro Bowl players on Day 2, as DeSean Jackson went No. 39 overall and will be joined by Nick Foles, who, despite an MVP-caliber season in 2013 was taken with the second-to-last pick. Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith went after him as the draft’s Mr. Irrelevant.
