Eagles Trounce Colts in Preseason Opener, 36-10

The Philadelphia Eagles opened their 2015 preseason in fine form Sunday afternoon at the Linc, at least from a final score standpoint, as they beat the Indianapolis Colts, one of the league’s favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, 36-10. However, the quarterback play could have been more inspiring, as only Matt Barkley completed more than 50 percent of his passes. Mark Sanchez did connect with rookie Nelson Agholor on a 34-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, but with a 2-for-7 performance overall didn’t do much to quell speculation that Sam Bradford will be the starter in the regular season. Both Bradford and DeMarco Murray did not play. Ryan Matthews ran twice for 18 yards. Cody Parkey missed two extra points under the new NFL rules. For more on this game, click here.
