Eagles Bye Week Update: Birds Acquire Golden Tate; Dallas & Washington Lose

The Philadelphia Eagles managed an eventful bye week through their own actions and the play of their NFC east rivals.

On Oct. 30, the club traded for Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate.

During Week 9, the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys both lost their respective games while the New York Giants remained idle with the Birds. Entering Week 10, Philly is one game out of first place behind Washington and one game ahead of Dallas heading into their first matchup of the season. The Giants sit at 1-7.
